Senior Management Accountant (Location: South Yorkshire)

Salary range: £40k – 55k; Full-time

We are looking for an exceptional Senior Group Management Accountant to join this organisation. This role requires a qualified accountant with up to 3 years PQE who has experience working in a growing and dynamic SME business or candidates looking to make their first move out of an accounting role within practice . As well as responsibility for the preparation of the monthly group management accounts and reporting, this role will also be required to implement processes and procedures to suit a young and growing business. This is a varied and hands-on role from day-to-day accounting through to assisting the Finance Director with strategy.

This position will involve working closely with the wider team, to improve and add value in all areas of the business by managing and reducing operational and production costs, as well as implementing effective financial control processes. There will be exposure to all elements of this interesting and cutting-edge business.

What type of person are we looking for?

  • Qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA with a background in a growing and dynamic SME business
  • Experience of continually improving, documenting, and developing an accounting system within a small start-up business
  • Experience of working within a similar sector e.g. engineering, manufacturing / production, R&D would be desirable
  • A strong personality with an entrepreneurial and SME mindset – keen to be involved across the business and make an impact
  • Be able to easily translate finance to non-finance members of the team
  • Good sense of humour, warmth, easy relationship-builder
  • Ambitious and hard working with a results-based approach

Head of HR and Talent (Location: South Yorkshire, Sheffield)

What type of person are we looking for?

  • Level 7/5 Diploma in Human Resource Management or equivalent / CIPD Qualified
  • Ability to quickly adapt and respond to changing circumstances and to operate effectively in an environment of uncertainty or ambiguity
  • Significant experience of strategic and organisational development and talent acquisition, management and development
  • Proven track record of delivering customer focused HR services and can work in an environment of high performance and output
  • Experience of organisation design
  • Extensive knowledge and demonstrable experience of effective measurable organisational and talent development, at a senior level.
  • Sound experience of developing and maintaining trusting relationships with stakeholders and business partners and navigating diverse and sometimes conflicting stakeholder and business partners’ views and interests to deliver successful outcomes.

Are you:

  • interested in the latest in battery technology?
  • hands-on and have practical electrical and/or mechanical skills?
  • have laboratory technician or production experience, either in a commercial organisation or through school/university?

Practical experience in a workshop or laboratory would be advantageous but is not essential. We are however looking for intellectual curiosity, a passion for detail, a proactive attitude and someone who will not be daunted by new challenges!
